We just spent 9 nights at this modest hotel for a weekly rate, and we enjoyed our stay. I believe it's under fairly new management and we noticed the gradual improvements to the place. They have done a very good job so far. The rooms are very clean and have been restored. The kingsize rooms on the ground floor are very roomy. The closet in ours was awfully small, but it was big enough to hang our clothes. This room contained a microwave and mini-fridge. No coffeemaker, but I satisfied our morning java habit by using the microwave. (I bought a box of coffee bags, foam cups and sugar packets ~ worked just fine.) The poolside is kept clean, and included is a hot tub on the premises, although the jet pressure is slim to none. (This was my only real disappointment to my stay.) Room service was interesting to work around, because they staff only one woman to clean all those rooms, and a few times she didn't make it to ours until as late as 3:30 ~ while we were there. Also, it appeared that she sometimes used queen-sized sheets on our kingside bed, and by morning it was unraveled. Forgivable. Towards the end of our stay we decided to stay another night or two, but that was for the wknd and at first they weren't sure they could accommodate. The manager was able to fullfill our wish. The room rate jumped up a good bit but it was a heckuva lot cheaper than trying to book a weekend somewhere else. The real caveat is that we had to move into another room, this time to the 2nd flr, but I was grateful. This one was smaller but had a nice kitchenette; a gas stove, more cupboard space. No table, though ~ it holds the microwave. Also, at that time they were setting up for wi-fi. No, this is not a luxurious place full of frills, but it's clean and staff are very nice, and is a good choice for those who'd rather spend $ on things to do.

Pros: Value, location, conveniency (a liquor-food-convenient store is right there).

Cons: The outdoor hot-tub is too anemic for effect.
