All the food that was ordered came out really salty. In addition, the rib eye steak was tough. The ambiance and the service were very good though. But for the price we paid for the meals, I don't think the whole experience was worth it.

I and my boyfriend took reservation at Viceroy hotel , ! bdr.aparment was very nice , clean and quiet , after we decided to celebrate my birhtday on Citron. Citron is nice small restaraunt -actually all buildings those complex had reconsrtruction from some old apartment buildings..... I ordered : soup , foie gras and Paella , i was really upset...They have to change chef....level of that food for that price was really high.I felt my self like i'm at fast food bistro. It's my opinion...

When you enter the Viceroy the lush citrus colors excite the senses into a feeling of euphoria, or maybe it’s just the cocktails during golf...either way, Citron is the best way to end a beautiful day in Palm Springs! You MUST make a reservation because the place fills up quick. The food is a wonderful mix of light and comfort dishes. There are not many wines by the glass; I suggest you do a bottle. Order the fresh baked cookies for dessert and you will find that the whipped cream is the best thing on the plate!
Pros: Interiors, Food, Dessert
Cons: Pricey, Wine by the Glass

My husband took me to Citron this weekend for my birthday. We were visiting Palm Springs for business and were counting on the reviews Citron received. We arrived at Citron and waited over 2 hours for our meal which was mediocre at best. Both of our entrees were over-sauced and very poor. The woman sitting next to our table felt so sorry for us for having such terrible service on my birthday that she offered to buy me dessert (we did not take her up on her offer as we did not want to wait another hour). The manager and wait staff were uncaring at best....this place would not survive if it was not attached to a hotel.

I went here last spring and really loved it. The restaurant is so unlike anything else in Palm Springs. I felt like I was still in L.A. The hotel it's housed in is very chic and the restaurant itself is very hipster-minimalist. But the service was quite good. In fact, my friend and I had a bet about who sang a certain song, and the waitress offered to look it up for us on the internet! It's more formal inside, whereas the poolside patio is a bit more laidback.
Pros: lovely setting, great service, fantastic meal
