During our recent girls get away to the beautiful Palm Springs area I was so very disappointed & disgusted by the spa day experience at "Tranquil Touch"! Such a misleading name comparred to the not so service we recieved! There are 100's of spas to choose from in the area but after alot of research and seeing a 4 1/2 star rating (not sure how this rating came about there were ZERO reviews) for T.T. we elected to book what sounded to be from T.T's website description a fabulous pampering! They were offering a package of $195. for a 2 1/2 hour "European body wrap and facial". When we arrived, we found the spa to be located in a very out dated hotel, they have turned 2 guestrooms into the spa. Tacky! We were greeted by the owner and she introduced us to the 2 therapist. One of the therapist took us to our room..We walked in and saw 2 tables side by side. Then she explained that she only would be providing our services to both of us. So not only did we share a room we shared a therapist. So, one of us were wrapped in old/worn ace bandages with a dry towel put over our face and NOT TOUCHED for the hour that the other one got the facial. I asked what product they use; was told it was the owners custom product made especially for the spa. While the therapist was out I looked at it and found it to be the "black and white" cheap version that anyone can get at the dollar store. After the first hour, we switched "services". I told my therapist that I was not interested in laying on a table for an hour w/ bandages and not being touched. She told me the owner left and that they can not offer any other type of service. So the therapist offered to have me lay on the table and throw wet hand towels on me. I tried it as I am a reasonable person, it was so ridiculous that I got up after 10 mins of my supposed to be 60 min service. So all and all between the two of us we paid $390 (plus a $50 tip-cuz we are good people) to lay on a table w/ no pampering what so ever! DONT GO!!
