I felt that these people should be recommending frames to me based on the artwork, as they are the so-called experts. Well, they didn't - it was a "we'll do whatever you want" sales philosophy, which was extremely unhelpful. They did not even provide me with different options based on cost. I ended up choosing frames but not completely sure that I made the right decision, so the next day I called back and said I would like to reconsider the frames, but they said that it was too late - if I wanted to change that I would have to pay a $50-$75 restocking fee. This was not mentioned at the time of sale - I never signed anything acknowledging that policy nor was it verbally expressed to me. I should have just gotten my artwork back at that point but I just let it go. Now that I have the artwork home, I can see that the frames were a terrible choice - there is not enough contrast between the frame and the art - the art blends into the frame on one piece - so I feel like an idiot for paying so much for the frames. Again, I feel that a frame shop should do a better job of guiding their customers to select the right frames and explain different cost options. I keep telling myself it's only money, but I am sick to my stomach over this. The owner and the other person who worked at the store were very nice, but the owner (the person who helped me) did not do a good job at all and overall I feel ripped off. Fast Frame is across the street - you can probably do better there.
Pros: good selection of frames
Cons: very expensive, no guidance to pick out suitable frames
