I cannot beleive they can call this french it was terrible. Also overpriced, it lacked a sense of quality. The service was horrible and food is fair. La poan was a much better restarunt but is now closed because of this short-stick operation.

I highly recommend the wild mushroom soup and the mushroom topped veal chop. Be sure to check out the extensive wine list too.
Pros: amazing soups
Cons: EXPENSIVE!!

This restaurant is not set up for brunch. The choices are very limited, the few little pasteries are terrible (I've had better at Costco), no coffee or great French bread, salads are soaked in some oil, the desserts are absolutely the worst I've eaten. Our server disappeared and we had to flag down more than one for service.
Cons: food, price, service

Selected this restaurant based on Zagat, which generally is reasonably accurate. We were very disappointed. The valet staff was borderline rude, both coming and going, did not open my wifes door, even though there was an inactive valet a few feet from her. Dining room is large and nice, but certainly not romantic or anything special. The service was very good and our waiter was very capable. The food was the big disappointment. I get the impression that the fact the menu offered fancy sounding meals was enough to impress the crowd. Two appetizers: crab cakes were greasy corn/cheese cakes, which overpowered any crab taste. The lobster raviolis undercooked, fishy, doughy and even the waiter said they looked bad. They were taken off bill. Based on the appetizer, we ordered only one entrée, which was marginal. Thankfully we didnt order more. Deserts ok. Waste of an evening and overpriced.
Pros: Pleasant, Good Service
Cons: Unremarkable Food, Overpriced, Not Intimate

The last two experiences at Cuistot (and we used to raive about Cuistot to friends and clients) have been nothing like last year. The food quality on two items was fair and one was nearly inedible. The service was unpleasant, unhelpful and robotic. The attention to detail that was there seems to have been lost over this last summer.

I recommend Cuistot if you want to treat yourself to a low-key but classy experience. Got a Saturday reservation pretty easily. It's a bit tricky to find at night coming from downtown Palm Springs, so prepare for that. Food was mostly delicious: had a grandly meaty beef chop, and the house dessert is one of the most amazing i've ever tasted. Didn't care much for the lobster-scallop appetizer, but everything else was great.
Pros: delicious food, easy reservations, good service
Cons: hard to find
