My 70 year old mother broke her hip and was taken to this "hospital" where they left her on "stand-by" for surgery for 4 days, as if she was awaiting a discounted red eye flight or something. Then they took her to surgery without a moments notice, which was really upsetting for me because I live in Las Vegas and thought that I would at least get enough notice to travel the 4 hours and be there for her. Once the surgery was done my brother went home to sleep and when he returned the next day in the late afternoon, he could hear her screaming from down the hall! He found her in her room alone with the DOOR CLOSED! When he questioned the nurse, they said she has been doing that all day and was disturbing the other patients! They said they had given her her dose of medicine and that is all they can do. Are these people morons??? Did they ever hear of calling the doctor to say this patient is still in pain?? My brother raised hell with them and then they gave her some medication, she was then comforable and fell fast asleep probably from exhaustion. What the hell! Don't trust these uncaring idiots with your loved ones. These people have no right to call them selves nurses! I think that anyone who would allow a 70 year old woman to scream in pain for a entire day when they had the ability and responsibility to do something to help her are MONSTERS!!!! My brother asked them why they did not call the doctor, they said "he came by earlier" well, I guess he is just too important to be bothered, but I'm sure he will have time to go cash his big fat pay check.
