The Scene
With so many resorts in the area, it's nice to be able to boast a superlative that actually means something ... this is Palm Springs' biggest meeting and conventions resort. Eight, low-rise, Spanish-style complexes are set amid 24 acres of artificially lush desert landscaping. While this may seem like an optimum resort experience, individual travelers should keep in mind that this hotel's forte is large group travel.
The Details
The 50,000 square-feet of meeting space bodes well for turbo conferences, but all work and no play makes Jack a dulla boy. That's why you'll also find swimming pools, hot tubs, a fitness center, tennis courts and a putting green on the property. Spacious and comfortable guest rooms are decorated in warm desert tones with a Polynesian flair. They offer lots of business extras and private balconies with mountain views. And with the full-service business center, a CEO can virtually run his empire between stints on the fairway.
