Located throughout gardens and olive and citrus orchards are 215 desert-colored guestrooms in a variety of sizes featuring marble baths, private terraces, twice-daily maid service and wireless Internet access. We recently visited the Miramonte Resort and Spa. The rooms were clean and simple with most of the basic amenities, though there were no robes provided, nor was there more than 2 pillows on the bed. The front desk staff were not friendly and barely even made eye contact as we checked in. The concierge was helpful and informative. The Spa services were good, although the spa amenities itself is limited. There was not enough space in the spa pool area, and there were not enough lounge chairs either. The hotel pool also had the same problem. It would have been helpful if someone cleared off used towels off the unoccupied lounge chairs so newcomers can use them. The Brissago restaurant was over priced for the quality of food and service they had. The first night, the service was excellent, but the second night we dined, the waiter hardly came around. We had to ask for bread plates and I had my empty glass at the edge of the table, fully visible almost the entire meal, but instead of offering a refill, I had to ask for one, unfortunately almost at the end of the meal since the server did not come around. The service was just inconsistent! Overall, the resort was average and not as luxurious and indulgent as advertised!
Pros: Spa treatements
Cons: Inconsistent restaurant customer service, Average and non-luxurious guest rooms

My wife and I booked a weekend Spa package to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and found this to be a pretty poor choice. Pros: Spa and Spa staff Cons: 1. The rooms at the hotel are very worn, old looking, dirty and we even had 2 sets of dirty towels brought to our room. They say the beds are 'Desert Dream Beds' but I can tell you that neither of us slept the first night. Our bed felt like we were staying at a Days Inn... 2. Kids everywhere. This hotel is not what they market it as. We could not even use the small main pool because it was full of screaming and splashing kids. 3. The Spa treatments were wonderful both days, so were the staff, but the adult only pool area is a joke. The pool is a heated 90 degree pool that is EXTREMELY small and the 72 degree pool is not a pool it is what looks like a hot tub at first glance. In the summer no one wants to go in a 90 degree pool. There is also little to no seating in the spa 'pool' area. My wife and I got lucky the first day and were able to steal two seats as another couple left. I believe I counted less than 10 seats in the whole pool area. There were also ants and flies everywhere. 4. While the restaurant food is decent, it is VERY overpriced for the quality. The restaurant atmosphere is also quite poor. You feel as though you are eating in the lobby of the hotel and in very uncomfortable seats. Staff is quite poor in the restaurant. There is more to list, but not enough room. All in all this made our first wedding anniversary one to remember, but not for the right reasons. We both agreed that we would never stay at this hotel again and if it were not for us having a very nice couples massage and my wife enjoying her facial treatment it would have ruined our special weekend. Such a shame cause if this hotel took some time to upgrade the facilities and stop marketing themselves as something they aren't, it could be a terrific boutique hotel; but it is certainly no where near achieving that.
Pros: The Spa treaments (not facilities) and the staff there.
Cons: Too much to list...
